(E) UG Diploma in Computer Application (UGDCA)
About the Course
Numerous diploma programs including UNDER GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER APPLICATION (UGDCA) are offered by Banaras Hindu University. UGDCA is a basic level computer diploma program of 3 years (6 semesters), which provides BHU diploma degree in computer applications. However, it is a regular diploma but it can be done with any regular Undergraduate degree program. This opportunity is available to students who are provisionally admitted in any Undergraduate course in Vasanta College for Women.
The UNDER GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER APPLICATION (UGDCA) course aims to create awareness among the students starting from the primary and preliminary knowledge to an advanced level of computers. The course enhancesICT skills among students as recommended in National Education Policy 2020. Further it will enable an individual to work in various occupational sectors as computer proficiency is most demanded and essential skill in 21st century. The UGDCA coursecomprisestheoretical and practical aspects in basic computer lessons. It starts with the basics of a computer system and proceeds to the core of the command user interface; including, an introduction to the DOS commands and insight into the basics of the Tally. Further, the curriculum dives into the depth of computer programming in the 5th and 6th semesters.
Eligibility Criterion:
This diploma course runs parallel with graduation. Therefore, this course can be opted only by the students enrolled in the first semester of any undergraduate course of Vasanta College for Women, Rajghat, Varanasi.The candidate must fulfil the following criterion to take admission to the course.
